Chris Charuhas is Dyadic’s founder and CEO. He started out in the 1990s at one of the first tech incubators. In the 2000s, he started a company, Visibooks, to publish illustration-based technology how-to books.
He won two SBIR grants to adapt the books for school use. When he found the school market tough to crack, he converted the books into online tutorials used by more than seven million people worldwide.
It employs a solid business model.
Dyadic has three sources of revenue: training, consulting, and licensing. It provides training in personality type recognition, and also consults with organizations on how to employ the Teska Type System™.
As for licensing, it licenses its system for use by dating sites, in the same way that an OS is licensed to computer manufacturers. In the personality assessment market (which includes secondary education), Dyadic licenses its system for use by corporations.
